3 Tips For Business Growth And Prosperity For The New Year

As we bring in a new year and the excitement begins to wear down, what happens to those new years resolutions that so many of us set during the beginning of the year but forget and abandon halfway through?
I couldn’t help but think that while it is commendable to set new years resolutions, it is more important to have an idea of what needs to be accomplished in 1 year and how to go about getting ideas from mere dreams and unkept resolutions into reality.
- Planning/Goals/Strategy – What is it that you want (for your career/business)? Once you know what this is then it is now time to develop a strategy or a blueprint to help you get there. Work with others in your industry who are successful at what they do, know how to teach actionable skills, and can take the time to mentor you. Get your goals listed down on paper and break up large goals in to smaller bite-sized chunks
- Mindset (self/business-others) – Having the right mindset is of utmost importance and being in the right frame of mind can take you and your business further than imaginable. This is because we will be able to view business from a perspective of opportunity, optimism, and acceleration that will enable us to overcome road bumps and obstacles that will inevitably occur.
- Timing (opportunities/efficiency/patience/the moment) – The most important factor in business (and in life) is TIME. Time is something that is precious because once it is gone, we never get it back. When spending time growing our businesses to higher levels of expansion, service to others, and profitability, it is essential we keep in mind ways to efficiently utilize our time. Also, on the flip side, never obsess over time because doing so prevents us from seeing and enjoying success in the current moment (which is right now!). Sometimes we will be required to exercise patience as we become aware that we can neither slow down nor speed up time.
- Bonus Tip: Adapt (to change) – as each new year goes by what is the common factor that remains the same? CHANGE. Change is inevitable and the ability to adapt to change means the difference between surviving and thriving when unexpected events occur. Being able to adapt to change requires coming out of our comfort zones and being willing to become visionaries, to become proactive, and to commit to continual learning of your industry – and yourself
Now that the new year has arrived, what will you be doing with your business this year (at the start) to ensure that you have a prosperous year?
Let’s make it the best,

Hi Ashley,
I like your idea about breaking large goals up into bite-size chunks. I think this really helps me not get overwhelmed with how I will accomplish the goal.
Happy New Year!
